General Developer

This position is for U.S.-based candidates, either remote or local to Tidelift HQ.

This is an opportunity to shape the culture of a new development team while building a product from scratch. Our company is well-funded and you’ll have the support to make things happen.


After a few years with us, you’d be able to say you were one of the first members of the team and that you had primary responsibility for building a new product.

Our company’s mission relates to open source sustainability; the canonical discussion of the problem comes from the Ford Foundation report “Roads and Bridges.” If we’re successful, you’ll be part of creating a more equitable and more effective software industry.

About you

We’re looking for a developer who is comfortable working across our stack. Our backend stack is Python and of course there will be JavaScript on the frontend. Although you are a generalist, we would love to meet you if you have an area in which you are more deeply proficient which could be frontend development, operations, or perhaps some skills you have which we haven’t thought of.
