Pylint and tidelift

Pylint is a pypi component included in the Tidelift Subscription

Tidelift is working with the maintainers of Pylint and a growing network of open source maintainers to ensure your open source software supply chain meets enterprise standards now and into the future.

With a comprehensive open source management solution like the Tidelift Subscription, organizations can efficiently manage the ways development teams use thousands of open source components across JavaScript, Java, Python, Swift, and Golang. (Beta-compatible with Rust, C#, Ruby, and PHP.) Improve the health, security, and resilience of the open source used in their applications with catalogs of known-good, proactively maintained open source components—backed by maintainers.

About Pylint

Pylint is a code analysis for Python. A Python source code analyzer, Pylint looks for programming errors, helps enforcing a coding standard and sniffs for some code smells.

Pylint is available via the PyPI package manager.

"I was the first Python maintainer and one of the first 10 maintainers to sign up with Tidelift.  Tidelift funding has helped me set aside time to work on the project. Time is key, and something I think all open source users should consider when they complain about project performance - maintainers don't necessarily do just this."
